Kyadondo East Member of Parliament Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu alias Bobi Wine has been summoned by police to answer charges of uttering inciteful messages to the public.

Kampala Metropolitan Police Commander Frank Mwesigwa has said they have summoned the singer turned politician in order to show him that there’s a difference between Bobi Wine the musician and Robert Kyagulanyi the legislator.

He says they have noticed that Bobi Wine has been turning Hon Kyagulanyi to make political statements at music shows which is against what they had agreed earlier.

“We want him to know that there is a difference between Bobie Wine and Hon Robert Kyagulanyi, we have noticed that Bobi Wine has been turning into Hon Kyagulanyi to make political statements at Music shows, that is not what we agreed on” says  Mwesigwa.

Earlier today, police banned Bobi Wine from performing at a music show which is supposed to take place at Coline Hotel in Mukono.

Mwesigwa said the Kyadondo East MP last Sunday uttered words that were inciting the public during his music show at One Love Beach in Busabala.

He asserted the popular though new legislator is now under investigation and therefore has been barred from performing at the show in question.
