Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) examinations are going to start tomorrow on Monday 16th October, 2017.
The Executive Secretary of Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB), Daniel Nokrach Odongo says that the gender parity at UCE has been achieved at 49% of the candidates registered this year.
Nokrach said 151,000 candidates are from Universal Secondary Education (USE) and 17,400 are from private schools, 160,000 registered female candidates account for nearly half of the candidates sitting O’level exams. This year’s exams, 69,000 female candidates are under USE program and 91,000 females in private schools.
The UNEB Executive Secretary vowed to punish anyone found engaging in acts of malpractice and warned conmen normally fond of selling students fake examination papers.
