A police officer identified as Joseph Okwi attached to Lugazi Police Station has on Wednesday morning been knocked by a speeding car reg. number UAM 527W as he was heading to his beat at Namagunga area.
The officer was riding on police motorcycle reg number UP 2093 by the time of the accident.
He was rushed to Kawolo hospital unfortunately he died on arrival.
The reckless driver of the spacio car is in custody at CPS Lugazi.
