Minister Amelia Kyambadde’s husband jailed over shs1.5b debt

Wilson Kyambadde, the husband to Trade Minister Amelia Kyaambadde has today been sent to prison over shs1.5 billion debt.

Mr. Kyambadde has been sentenced to sleep behind bars for the next six months after failing to pay Amdhan Khan from whom he solicited money in a fake property deal.

The accused has been imprisoned by Flavia Nassuna Matovu, the High Court deputy registrar in charge of execution and bailiffs.

It is alleged that Kyambadde and Khan have been at loggers for over two years, most says over a botched deal.

Kyambadde is believed to have promised to sell to Khan a house allegedly allocated to him(Kyambadde) by President Yoweri Museveni through State House yet he had nothing.
