Buganda kingdom has lauded Post Bank Uganda for supporting the Kabaka birthday run.
The Kabaka birthday run takes place every year ahead of the birthday anniversary of Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II.
The Kingdom has however partnered with leading companies in Uganda to support the marathon which raises money to improve livelihoods in the country. The Kabaka choose which project the collections would benefit.
This year, the support to the marathon was aimed at raising funds to fight sickle cell disease. The previous two years, it was to carry out surgeries on women with fistula, a condition that affects women after giving birth, and they start leaking.
Post Bank Uganda is a major partner in this good cause, having contributed Sh35 million this year.
A total of Sh110 million has been collected towards the Central Public health Laboratory that will be carrying out free sickle cell tests.
The Hand handover took place today 10th July 2017 at Bulange Mengo.
PostBank was one of the platinum sponsors of the 2017 Kabaka birthday run 2017.
