IGP Kayihura’s escort car involved in a deadly accident, one officer dead

A team of five police flying squad team has been involved in a deadly motor accident and one officer has been confirmed dead.

The officers were travelling in a police vehicle escorting the Inspector General of Police Kale Kayihura who was coming from Kapchorwa to Mbale.

The fatal accident happened at Towei Hill. The four injured officers have been admitted to Mbale Hospital.

Apparently Gen. Kayihura has cancelled his journey and gone back to Kapchorwa.

Earlier today the police boss travelled to Kapchorwa to assertion the matter how a police officer attached to Kapchorwa CPS was killed and assailants took off with the gun.
