President Yoweri Museveni has left Nakasero State Lodge for Kyadondo to campaign for NRM candidate Sitenda Sebalu moments after singer Bobi Wine release.
Since today is the last campaigning day, Museveni is supposed to headline the campaigning team to ensure that his Kyadondo East parliamentary seat candidate wins in the forthcoming by-election which is being scheduled on 29 June, 2017.
Earlier today, Bobi Wine who is also competing favourably in the race, was arrested by police and detained at Kira Police Station on grounds that his venue was contradicting the Electoral Commission rules and regulations and risked being disqualified.
But according to some Bobi Wine supporters, their candidate was arrested because he was going to stage a campaign in the same area where president Museveni and team were also going to campaign from so they feared being embarrassed.
However after his release, Bobi Wine decided to change his venue to Gayaza to leave Museveni in peace.
