Uganda Manufacturers’ Association has appointed Barbara Mulwana the Executive Director of Nice House of Plastics as new chairperson.
Mulwana was elected during UMA annual general meeting at the UMA conference hall at Lugogo show grounds yesterday.
Mulwana’s father the late James Mulwana also served as UMA chairperson.
“I am humbled by the trust and confidence bestowed on me by all the manufacturers and the board as whole. I come in at a time when manufacturers are faced with a host of challenges which I think will be solved if we join hands to meet our goals,” Ms Mulwana said.
Mulwana has served as executive director of Nice house of plastics since 1991, director of Jesa farm dairy and Uganda Batteries Limited all under Mulwana group of companies and a board member of Jubilee life insurance
