On Saturday, it was alleged that NTV’s news reporter Gertrude Uwitware was kidnapped by unknown people.
Early this week, Uwitware through her social media, claimed that she was getting several threats from one facebooker who warned her to stop supporting controversial Makerere University Lecturer Dr. Stella Nyanzi.
Now, NTV has come out to clarify that Uwitware is safe and sound citing that she was never kidnapped.
“NTV’s Gertrude Uwitware is very safe and secure. We thank you for your concern,” NTV posted on Facebook.
