The vice chancellor of Kampala International University {KIU} Dr Mohamed Mpezamihingo has this afternoon announced free health services to Kansanga community.
Speaking to the press this afternoon Dr Mpezamihingo said that KIU shall partner with the health advocacy group to host a three days health camp at the Kansanga based campus.
“We shall make sure that the community around us benefits from this clinic since they are the security to the University” adds Dr Mpezamihingo.
The clinic is slated from 19th to 21st of April 2017 and it is on this note that he went ahead to invite the general public to come and do free body checkups.
“You can also come with family and friends “added Dr. Mpezamihingo.
Voluntary counseling and testing, safe male circumcision, cancer testing, blood donation, tests for Hepatitis, dental care, eye care, family planning among many more are some of the activities that will take place on this day.
The vice chancellor also said that the university is also ready to celebrate the world health day on 7th of April and shall embark on depression. It is on this note he announced the future of KIU pattering with foreign universities from Asia as well as many continents in exchanging human resource.
In the same press conference that took place at the KIU, the assistant sports Tutor of the university Mr. Joshua Kashaija confirmed that the university shall host the forth coming 8th edition of the KIU open invitation tournament.
“KIU will host the volleyball open on 8th and 9th April. It’s official and confirmed.” Says Joshua
The tournament is to attract major clubs like Sport s, Nemo stars, KAVC, SKY among many more.
