Kampala minister Beti Olive Kamya has said that the government is very broke and unable to meet its obligations.
Kamya who was appearing on CBS on Saturday morning laboured to explain why the government has called off several of its budgeted for programs including local council elections.
The Kampala minister said that the national coffers were empty, and every money that drops in is used for high priority programs.
The show Palamenti yaffe hosted by Meddie Nsereko had other panelists including lawyer Yusuf Nsibambi and Masaka municipality MP Matthias Mpuuga Nsamba.
Mpuuga criticized government for failing to get its priorities right, but has acted extravagantly towards none important issues.
