Uganda’s main opposition party, Forum for Democratic Party (FDC) is in conspiracy plans to fire Bukedea woman MP Anita Among from Parliamentary Committee on Commissions, Statutory Authorities and State Enterprises (COSASE) using Kasese Woman MP, Winnie Kiiza who is the Leader of Opposition.
Currently, Among is the Vice Chairperson of COSASE.
The move to dismiss the woman MP is being fueled by National Executive Committee (NEC) of FDC, her former party which plays a vital role in the appointment of Parliamentary committee heads.
Apparently,Winnie Kiiza is seeking advice from the party while selecting chairpersons and their deputies.
FDC accuses Among of over stepping her powers using the position to solicit money from a number of corrupt government officials who are always implicated in various scandals.
