Kampala Lord Mayor, Erias Lukwago has thrown tantrums on Minister in charge of Kampala, Beti Kamya whom he accuses of being idle citing that she is trying to find something to do and that is why she is evicting traders from Park Yard Market.
Appearing on NBS TV’s Topical Discussion show today morning, Lukwago said one of the reasons why Kamya is evicting traders is because she is idle.
“One of the reasons why Kamya is doing this is because she is idle and she’s trying to find something to do,” Lukwago said.
“Kamya has never been to Park Yard or Wandegeya market ever since she was appointed. She doesn’t know the conditions there,” He added.
Lukwago further noted that Kamya is doing real politicking and that is why she invited President Yoweri Museveni in Kawempe and said she will support him come 2021.
“What Kamya is doing is ‘real politicking’. Planning for the city is not her role. She’s just issuing orders!” They are citing health issues as reason for closure of Park Yard Market. This is a lame excuse,” Lukwago asserted.
