Here are 6 Ugandan celebrity couples whose relationships have ended in tears since last year

With producer and Andrew Ojambo’s aka Daddy Andre’s much-publicized marriage with songstress Nina Rose dramatically coming to an end as per various media outlets, the plight of celebrity relationships has been thrown into serious scrutiny.

With big-name singers like Sophie Nantongo, Rebecca Jingo, Rema Namakula and Eddy Kenzo among others making headlines in the past over their relationships hitting dead ends, the year 2020 has specifically not been a good one for several celebrities when it comes to relationships.

Here we bring you some of the big-name personalities whose love hit a snag between now and last year:

1.Kemi Sera and Hajj Haruna Mubiru

The affair between the two had been kept a secret to the public until when Kemi Sera came out in June last year to accuse Mubiru of domestic violence.

The subsequent trauma would lead her to Pastor Bugembe’s Nansana Church where she successfully sought mental recovery. She made a public appeal to raise her rent as her landlord had already started threatening to throw her out of the house.

2.Diana Nabatanzi and tycoon Lwasa

Just like Mubiru and Kemi Sera, Lwas and Nabatanzi had kept their relationship to themselves largely. Even when the media tried to preempt, they insisted there wasn’t beyond a business relationship.

But heaven broke loose last month when Lwasa introduced another woman and accused the beauty endowed BBS TV scribe of failure to produce him a baby. In the crossfire that ensued, Nabatanzi maliciously argued it could have been Lwasa’s incompetence between the sheets that failed him. She hilariously advised the Masaka tycoon to try DNA tests for all his children for she has started doubting their paternity.

3.Geosteady and Prima Kardashi

The ‘ viola’ hitmaker drowned in an ocean of tears last year when his baby mama he had spent years with, opted out of the relationship. It was later reported that she moved with one popular radio presenter in Kampala. Geosteady has since turned to God, professing his commitment to Islam.

4.Daxx Kartel and Momo19

The two celebrities legalised their relationship in 2020 after five solid years together.

But recently, there emerged some disturbing reports to their online in-laws after the BBS TV presenter shared Sasha Brighton’s “Kambite” video prompting concerned fans to fear for the worst.

Various online publications reported the breakup, with the news spreading like a wild fire. Momo however came out to rubbish the claims, insisting she could not break up with a man who loves her like that.

However, since there is always no smoke without fire, only patience will bring the real truth out.

5.Zahara Totto and loaded Nigerian boyfriend Don Solomon aka ‘big papa’

Zahara Totto and her Nigerian fat boy had been dating for some time in a relationship that had become a hot topic for both broadcast and print media.

It however turned ugly last year after a home insider filmed the two fightings before it was finally announced to be over for good.

6.Sasha Brighton and businessman Herbert Habib Shonga

Two years ago, Herbert dumped over a decade long baby mama Doroth Nkoma Shonga and ran with former New Eagles’ singer Sasha Brighton.

The excited lovebirds would even out a song in which Shonga acted as a vixen as Sasha sang. The song was titled “Kawomera”. But as of now, the two are reportedly no more after Brighton coming up to announce she is tired of crying all the time in her relationship with Shonga. Shonga too has variously admitted their relationship has hit a rock.
