Kenzo quits music unless Sheikh Muzaata apologises for calling him gay, disrespecting his dead mother

Singer Eddy Kenzo has said he will never step on any Ugandan stage on perform unless Sheikh Nuhu Muzaata apologises for calling him gay and telling him to marry his dead mother.

Muzaata is the head of Da’awah Kibuli Muslim faction.

In two separate videos making rounds on social media, Muzaata claims Kenzo who was recently dumped by fellow singer Rema Namakula is not a marriage material and also accuses the ‘sitya loss’ singer of being gay.

“These love niggers can only show off but don’t marry. All they say is ‘we are still making a review’, ‘you know a woman has to be like my mother’, are you stupid? Okay go and marry your mother,” Muzaata said during his congratulatory message to Rema and her new lover Dr Hamza Sebunya at their Kukyala ceremony on Wednesday.

Muzaata went ahead to call Kenzo gay during an interview with nbs TV’s uncut show on Friday.

However, in response, Kenzo revealed that he was tortured by the cleric’s unjust words against him.

I’m tortured by Sheikh Nuhu Muzaata’s insults against me and my late mother. He did not stop at that he went ahead to claim that I’m gay because of the ear pin I put on,” the singer said in a video on social media.

“People who follow me and follow the Sheikh are most likely to believe in him because even at the time he made the utterances, there some people who cheered him up so I really feel bad, I feel shame.”

Due to Muzaata’s sour words, Kenzo has also vowed never to step on any Ugandan stage to perform unless Muzaata comes out to apologise.

“I want to enlighten Sheikh Muzaata that as a religious leader I don’t see the why he is blaming me because me and Rema performed nikkah during the time we performed aqiqah for our daughter. So I don’t know why he is blaming me, I am very tortured my friends.

“I ask Sheikh to come and undo his words because me I am straight, I even have children so if he thinks I am gay he should bring evidence if not he should come out and say the truth to clear my reputation otherwise I feel tortured. I am not going to step on any stage in Uganda to perform if Sheikh does not come out to apologise.”
