After succeeding in escaping from Naguru Hospital where she was hospitalized over drug abuse, social media gossipers had it that singer Jackie Chandiru also managed to end her life on Sunday evening.
This insinuations started after events guru Balaam Barugahara shared news that the former Blu*3 singer had escaped from the hospital facility in a very poor health condition after threatening to end her life.
“Jackie Chandiru is not well at all and sadly she escaped from the hospital after she was stolen by unknown people. More scaring news is that of late she has been confessing of how she wanted to end her own life,” Balaam stated.
Chandiru’s wardmates also told Balaam that by the time Chandiru left the hospital, one of her hands had a wound that failed to heal, and doctors were planning to lacerate it.
And following the alleged suicide attempts, hospital escapes and her current health conditions, online gossips concluded that the singer was successful in ending her life, thus flooding social media with ‘Rest in Peace’ messages.
However, through her social media platform on Monday, Chandiru’s manager Jackie Erusa confirmed that “Jackie Chandiru is not dead”, though her condition is still very delicate and calls for lots of prayers.
It’s believed that Chandiru started doing drugs after parting ways with the all-girl singing trio (Blu*3), that comprised singers Lilian Mbabazi and Cindy Sanyu.
Given her vocal power, Chandiru rose to fame as a solo artiste quickly, but the fame that came after she recorded songs like Gold Digger, Wotuse, Young again among others, introduced her to ‘bad friends’ who introduced her to drugs.
