Buganda Road Chief Magistrate has remanded two men suspected of leaking comedienne Martha Kagimba’s nudes to Luzira Prison.
According to the Daily Monitor, on Tuesday, Prosecution told Chief Magistrate Miriam Okello that the two suspects Herbert Arinaitwe and Farid Mukiibi robbed Martha Kay of two mobile phones which included, Sumsung Galaxy S8 gold in color and IPhone X black in color.
The ‘thieves’ later extracted nudes which were later leaked on social media after Martha failed to pay the Shs10 million that they had requested from her.
Arinaitwe and Farid were also accused of robbing Martha of her money purse containing her Stanbic bank ATM, her driving permit and cash Shs400,000.
Prosecution also alleged that before the said robbery, they used a substance called scopolamine (commonly known as devils breath) on Martha making her to lose her consciousness.
The duo was later charged with aggravated robbery, demanding property with menaces with intent to steal and cyber stalking. The suspects will appear again before court on August 19 for a mention.
Martha Kay became a topic of discussion after her nudes made rounds on social media. The photos clearly showed her completely naked and smiling for the camera. Since then, the online comedienne has been keeping a low profile.
Popularly known for her skit ‘Range Rover girl’, on June 31 Martha joined the likes of Zari Hassan, Desire Luzinda, Anita Fabiola, Judith Heard, among others who have been victims of a similar scandal after their nudes leaked on social media.
