‘Faithful’ Chebet to wait for jailed husband Mbuga, dismisses singer Grenade

Vivienne Chebet Mbuga has dismissed rumours that she is dating Team No Sleep (TNS) singer Grenade.

Chebet is the wife of jailed socialite Suleiman Kabangala alias SK Mbuga,

Rumors have been making rounds that Chebet and Grenade are worryingly too close these days, and that she recently gifted the ‘Nkologa’ singer with a new car on his birthday.

The rumours were also fanned by several show hosts who constantly asked Grenade about his relationship with Chebet. Well, he has always denied, claiming that they ‘are just close friends’ and nothing else.

Through her social media platform on Wednesday, Chebet also added her voice, claiming that she is married, and will not get tired of waiting on her husband.

“His flower, wife and trophy, I am still waiting for you papa,” she said.

It’s not certain when Mbuga will be free from all charges against him, because recently, the Minister of External affairs, Sam Kutesa said that government tried to help him, but the charges against him were very serious.

Mbuga was arrested in 2018 and jailed in Al Awiir Central Prison in Dubai for allegedly defrauding a business man of Shs937 million through a fake gold deal.

The pencil sized socialite was then extradited to Denmark to answer allegations of obtaining money under false pretence in another fake gold deal.

Mbuga is also wanted by the Swedish government for allegedly fraudulent transfer of Kronor 53m, about Shs23 billion from an account his wife Chebet was running with her former Swedish boyfriend Sten Heinsoo.

And just like her husband, Chebet is also having troubles with the authorities, on cases that she obtained money in false pretence and money laundering.
