Visiting Tanzania’s Bongo Flavor artiste Nasibu Abdul Juma alias Diamond Platnumz has showered the Leone Island’s boss Joseph Mayanja aka Jose Chameleone with praises, as he branded him as the East African music Legend.
During a presser at Mestil Hotel on Wednesday, Platnumz claimed that if one is speaking about East African music, the artiste that comes first on the list is Uganda’s Jose Chameleone.
“Ugandan music is the best, trust me I love it so much. Here I respect Jose Chameleone so much. There is no way you can mention East African Music without mentioning Jose Chameleone,” said Platnumz.
The Tetema singer, who is in the country to headline Comedy store show, that’s happening on Thursday at UMA grounds Lugogo, also claimed that he has a dream of working with Chameleone sometime, God willing.
“Chameleone is our legend, our icon. I respect him so much and I hope one day I’m gonna have a song with him. It’s one of my dreams,” he said.
Chameleone aside, the singer also claimed that he respects Eddy Kenzo too, and has hopes of working on something with him before the year ends.
Popularly known in Uganda as Zari’s ex-husband, and for songs like Inama, Kanyaga, Marry You, Kidogo, Sikomi among others, this is going to be Platnumz third performance in the country after the Kampala City Carnival in 2017 and another one in 2015 featuring Nigerian star Patoranking.
