Events promoter Abby Musinguzi alias Abtex is dragging mayoral candidate, Joseph Mayanja or Jose Chameleone to court over missing out on a show that he was paid to perform.
Abtex claims that he paid Chameleone two out of the four million shillings they had agreed upon to entertain revellers during the annual Buganda Royal Regatta. The competition happened over the weekend at Nabugabo Sand Beach, Masaka.
But apparently the singer didn’t show up for the show as expected.
“I don’t know the kind of Mayor he will be if he has failed to be a transparent musician. It is so evident that people’s land will be stolen when he is just looking on. Secondly Chameleone is a very disorganized person, he has over five managers who can’t even write” Abtex lamented.
He claims that he is dragging the Mateeka singer to court, not only to return his money, but he wants to discipline the singer and also make him apologies to the people for turning down the show.
“Chameleone has a habit of disrespect and theft; I want to discipline and make that habit stop. He lacks discipline and doesn’t respect contracts, you pay him today and when he receives a contract that pays much, he immediately turns you down, Chameleone is a very dishonest and greedy person” Abtex alleged.
Chameleone allegedly failed to turn up for Abitex’s show after landing a mega show in Kenya dubbed ‘Tomorrow Leaders Concert’. This show featured top artistes such as Morgan Heritage, Yemi Alade, Diamond Platinumz, among others.
