World over, an upcoming artiste will ride on the style of an already established one. In Uganda, we have seen VIP Jemo and Lazor trying to copy the style of Fik Fameica, with success. Ofcourse there are hundreds of others.

Now we have a youngster called BB Zanda.

You have not heard about him? Well, he is the voice behind songs such as ‘Balabe’ and ‘Wampise’ and believes that he has a bright future in the music industry, because his fans applaud his talent which coincidentally takes after that of John Blaq.

Now, Zanda has run to police for help, claiming that John Blaq – born John Kasadha- is threatening to kill him for allegedly duplicating his unique style of singing.

“I want John Blaq to know that I have already reported a case to police and whatever happens to me he will be answerable, I filed this case at Wattuba Police station, along Matugga road and soon he will be called questioning” Zanda stated.

In a video shared on social media, Zanda claims that when he started singing two months ago, he didn’t know who John Blaq was, and neither did he know of his songs like Tukwatagane and Bubadi that were ruling all music charts.

But he just learnt about him from his fans who stated that they have a similar singing style. And that instead of threatening to kill him, the ‘Bubadi’ singer should just accept that there are other musicians way better than him.

Zanda maintained his ‘truth’, as he claimed that he didn’t copy John Blaq’s signature word ‘Ayabus’ but just borrowed it from Vj Junior’s movies and started to use it in his songs too.

John Blaq is yet to respond to the matter.
