Kyamagero: Most marriage certificates issued in church are fake

NTV news anchor Andrew Kyamagero on Wednesday married with his longtime fiancée, Linda Ndagire.

The event was attended by the couple’s close friends and family with a wedding ‘Kasiki’ later on held at Wave Lounge, Acacia Avenue.

But unlike most weddings which are held at churches or mosques, the Kyamageros had a civil one at Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB).

According to the self-proclaimed ‘Omuntu wa wansi’, they choose to go for a civil marriage because most churches are not legally authorized to wed couples making their wedding certificates null and void.

And to avoid troubles that come with fake wedding certificates, the couple chose to go in for a civil marriage.

This wedding ceremony comes weeks after their traditional wedding ceremony (Kwanjula) in Luwero District.

Kyamagero follows fellow NTV news anchor Flavia Tumusiime who recently got married to Andrew Kabura.

A wedding reception has been scheduled for Saturday, May 18 at Bule Island, Mukono.
