Social media was shocked by news that the ‘Queen of Comedy’ Anne Kansiime and her boyfriend Skylanta had drowned while fishing in Canada.
A Canadian blog ‘canada-tv3.com’ posted news that Kansiime fell into a lake and Skylanta jumped in to help save her but both died in the process.
“The Uganda Embassy representative reported to family members that Kansiime Anne and her Fiancé Skylanta, were fishing on April 28, when Kansiime fell into the water. She was in distress and Skylanta jumped into the water to assist her. According to the Embassy, both were pulled from the water but could not be resuscitated” reads the post in parts.
But According to Kansiime’s boyfriend, the only thing he will be drowning in is the comedian’s love not water as rumors alleged.
“The only thing I will be drowning in is your love!!! #Foreveryoung” Skylanta posted on social media.
Kansiime on the other hand had no kind words for the ‘fake people’ who rushed to check and confirm news of her death and burial details.
“Have you heard how I died yesterday, follow the link in my bio and to watch full video and get full burial arrangements……. Hehehe people are risk takers” Kansiime posted.
In the shared video, Kansiime also called off all her fake friends who had taken long without checking on her, but were quick to ask about her burial. She promised to make a research on how to come back after death to put fake people in their places.
“I have always had a lot of good news to share, like am the host of East Africa Got Talent, Ambassador of Standard Charted, been to Germany but few celebrated that. But they were so quick to react on my death news. I know I might be sounding like am joking but I promise that when I die, I will came back to haunt the people who will cry for me yet they failed to celebrate me” she said.
