Easter celebrations comes early for former patrons of the now defunct night spot, Club Silk.
This after news started filtering through early this week that a reunion party was in the offing.
The Club Silk Reunion Party is slated for Thursday, April 18, at Liquid Silk, Bugolobi to give revellers the nostalgic feeling of the years gone by.
The night will be fully packed with fun, music and DJ spins from Bobby, Shiru, Hearts, Faizo, Alberto, Emma, Robbie among others. Of course the prices of beer and food will also be dropped to encourage more fun.
Club Silk was the most happening place around the city years back; no party was complete without hitting the night spot initially located on First Street Industrial Area. This was attributed to its management’s creative innovation that gave Ugandan partiers a good experience.
These innovations include Doctors and Nurses costume party, Caribbean Nights, New Year Street Jam, Unplugged among others. The club is also credited for grooming DJs Rachel Kun, Shiru, Alberto, Phaizo as well as giving a platform to artistes Jose Chameleone and Ragga Dee, among others.
“But like all good things, the bar was closed. A sister branch was opened up in Bugolobi. But there was always something incomplete for the people who cherished the segments in the bar like Silk Royale, Ocean and Oxygen. It is for this reason that the management decided to throw a party for all Old girls and boys. Those who met their husbands and wives at Liquid Silk, have been given the chance to relive the old Club Silk Reunion party,” a statement by the organisers reads in part.
