Dancehall artiste Cindy Sanyu is over the moon after Congolese Lingala star Awilo Longomba confirmed working on a collabo with her before he leaves the country.
During a presser held on Thursday, Awilo acknowledge that Cindy is a very talented artiste and he is looking forward to working with her on the project.
The visiting singer is in the country for his show dubbed ‘Awilo Live in Kampala’ slated for April 5, 2019 at Kampala Serena Hotel.
Awilo also branded artistes Jose Chameleone and Eddy Kenzo as international artistes, and said that Uganda should not worry for those artistes (Kenzo and Chameleone) have raised Uganda’s music flag high across the globe.
The 56-year-old claimed that he once shared the stage with Eddy Kenzo and Comedian Salvado Idringi in Dubai during that ‘The Africa One Concert’ in 2018 and it was a very nice experience.
Awilo is popular in Uganda for songs such as Coupe Bibamba, Enemy solo, Modongo, Moyen Te, Karoline among other.
His music show will feature performances from Eddy Kenzo, Jackie Chandiru, Cindy Sanyu, Levixone and Congolese-Uganda guitarist Charmant Mushaga.
And after his Serena show, he will head to the Green Light Stadium in Onduparaka, Arua for another show on April 7.
