Popularly known for songs such as ‘Leg Over’ ‘Property,’ ‘Pour Me Water,’ Nigerian popstar Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade alias Mr Eazi, has launched the EmPawa Mentorship Project to help over 100 artistes across six African countries
The 27-year-old has partnered with stakeholders in the industry to build a platform that will uplift and change lives of Africa’s unsigned musical talents.
This Mentorship programme will be centered in countries like; Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Nigeria, Ghana and Rwanda, were Eazi and his team will choose the top 100 artistes whom he will give a grant of USD3000 (Shs11million) for each artiste to fund their videos.
All the videos will feature on Eazi’s YouTube and social media channels and the panel of experts will chose the top 10 artistes who will get a chance to be part of a three week mentorship master class in South Africa with Mr Eazi.
The selected 100 will have a chance of being mentored by DJ/Producer Diplo of Major Lazer, UK Pop star Raye, Nigerian Producers E.Kelly, Guilty Beatz and Fred Gibson.
To participate, one is required to upload a video showcasing his/her music talent on their instagram page under the Hash tag ‘#Empawa100’, before December 15 2018.
