Earlier this month, song bird Rema Namakula released a song dubbed ‘Sili Muyembe’. Fans and critics alike all believed that the message therein was directed toward her baby daddy Eddy Kenzo. In the song, Rema sings that one day, she will get tired of waiting for Kenzo because there are a lot of men yearning for her.
That is probably the inspiration behind struggling dancehall artiste Khalifah Aganaga’s song in response to ‘Sili Muyembe’.
Aganaga’s song is called ‘Sister’ and it has a message directly advising Rema on how to handle her marriage life.
“Sister, learn how to handle your husband, love Is a secret between two people and stop airing your marriage’s dirty laundry through those stories of ‘Sili Muyembe’ that do not need to get ripe before they can eat you”says the song
In some lyrics, Khalifa says that Rema needs prayers from Pastor Wilson Bugembe to make her understand the beauty of marriage and that her husband is a Muslim.
“You are lucky to be called ‘Mrs. Designer’ but there are many women out there, having big businesses and lots of money but do not have husbands, most of them are just used as sugar mummies and other as side dishes,” Khalifa sings in the song produced by Diggy Baur of Sound Cova Records.
