Ebonies star Julie Underwood has broken silence on rumors that she quit Ebonies and separated with her finance Pharouque Sempala.

Popularly known for her role as Sharon, ‘the wife of Barnabus’, in ‘Oh My God ‘OMG’ a TV series that airs on Bukedde TV, Underwood left the country on a mystery trip to USA last month.

That is when ‘gossip girls’ started speculating that Underwood had been sacked from the Ebonies because of her misconduct. The gossips also claimed the baby she is expecting is not Sempala’s child yet the two had carried out an introduction ceremony, popularly known as ‘Kwanjula’ recently.

This prompted Underwood to take to her Facebook page to state reasons why she is not in the country.

“First and foremost I did not leave The Ebonies. I got maternity leave which my boss granted it. Secondly, my fiancée Pharoque Sempala is fully aware of my trip and he fully sponsored it. I went to the US to deliver my baby from there as well as visit my sick sister before I return,” she posted on Wednesday.

Underwood states that the reason she had to leave quickly was that they could not let her board on plane when she is too heavy.

She also appealed to the public to stop destroying Sempala’s and her reputation especially at this time when she’s expecting.
