Musician Diamond Platnumz has been refused to fly out of the country after he was slated to perform at a mega concert in the Comoros islands.
Zari’s ex-husband was stopped from boarding a plane at Julius Nyerere International Airport because he didn’t have a permit to leave the country as stipulated in the regulations for artistes in Tanzania.
Onesmo Mabuye the Secretary of BASATA, the association that brings together and regulates activities of all artistes in the country said Diamond had deliberately refused to acquire the permit which is disrespect to the association.
They therefore denied him exit out of the country as an example to other smaller artistes who plan to do the same.
Onesmo added that whenever artistes are leaving Tanzania they need to be provided with special security and the only way this can be done is when they acquire a permit to leave.
