While addressing scores of supporters who had gathered at Kasangati Saza Grounds for the victory party celebrations last week, Kyadondo East Parliament elect Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu popularly known as Bobi Wine revealed that he wants to make his wife Barbie Kyagulanyi Uganda’s First Lady during his life time.
He made the remarks while extending gratitude to his better half for standing by his side as he canvassed Kyadondo East constituency for votes.
“Thanks for believing in me,” he said. “Before I die, I promise to make you Uganda’s First Lady.”
Bobi Wine, who was standing on an independent ticket, had a landslide victory in the Kyadondo East by-election. He garnered 25, 659 votes to see off competition from other contenders including NRM’s Sitenda Ssebalu who came second with 4, 566 votes and FDC’s Apollo Katinti in third place with 1, 832 votes.
