A night club in Kampala has set a day to give notorious party animal Ivan Ssemwanga a befitting send off.
Club Space, formerly known as Club Rouge has on Thursday, June 1, organized a ‘Farewell Party” in memory of Ivan Ssemwanga, who passed on in South Africa last week and has been buried on Tuesday in Kayunga district.
The death of Ssemwanga, a renowned nocturnal whenever he was in Kampala, and also down in South Africa, has captured the public’s imagination. His spending habits turned him into an overnight celebrity in addition to being a husband to Zari Hassan, a controversial socialite who later ran away with a Tanzania singer Diamond Platinumz. Zari had three children with Ivan before he moved in with Diamond, and they now have two children.
Club Space is charging patrons for this night Sh1 million a table and sh30,000 for general audience.
