Do you want to win a cash prize worth Shs200,000?

A chance is right in front your face. All you have to do is take a photo of fish, share and win cash.

How to do it:

We want you to share your best photographs showing sustainable fisheries in Uganda. Capture how people, communities and businesses are helping to promote responsible and sustainable fishing, transformation of ecosystems, securing nature, keeping lakes and landing sites clean.

Also add a short notice of who, when and where the photo was taken.

Email your information to: pftevents@yahoo.com

The winner will be announced at Jinja Fish festival on December 1, 2019 at Forever Resort which overlooks the source of the Nile Bridge.

According to one of the organizers Moses Bakora, the event will be more of a family day out than just an ordinary music party.

Being a weekend, parents will come along with their children to have an out of the ordinary afternoon.

Revelers will be treated to a number of entertaining activities; from sustainable fisheries exhibition, to school and corporate quizzes, live band performances, cook-offs and fish tasting just to mention but a few.

“The venue will be buzzed with activities as merrymakers stroll from end to end with singers hitting the stage overlooking the calm Waters of the River Nile,” said Bakora.

“But this is not all the event is set to offer to the music lovers. More artists and comedians from both Jinja and Kampala will be headlining the event; we shall keep you posted as we draw nearer to the only Fisheries festival in the East African region.”

The fest will also be graced by conservationists and business communities.
