The Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga has promised to sponsor the Bamba, Acholi and Basoga to the Uganda International Cultural Festival.
While meeting the organizers of the cultural festival, Kadaga committed to facilitate participation of the cultural heritages from the Bamba, Ikey, Acholi Chiefdom and Eastern Uganda.
According to Betty Aliba of Uganda International Cultural Festival, this is a big milestone from the speaker since the regions she has pledged to support had gaps; they were ready to participate but lacked financial support.
The organizers had gone to meet the speaker to present last year’s financial, event report and current status of the forthcoming event.
