Umeme has set up a new power infrastructure in Lugazi called Muniko substation to widen and improve the power supply in Lugazi.
Umeme says that they are striving to keep their customers happy and increase the power supply.
Umeme posted on its twitter that they are going to open the plant soon and its going to help people to have power every day without disrupting their businesses.
This substation is going to provide power in Lugazi since many businesses depend on power and prior they used to incur losses when the power goes off.
Nakayiza Peninah a shop keeper in Lugazi town said that they are very happy with this station and its going to help them increase on their income since power will not be disturbed.
