This is how my journey with Rema started, and how it ended – Kenzo

Big Talent Chief Executive Officer… Edrisa Musuuza.

Scrap that. Let’s start over again.

Love Niggers Association of Uganda president, Eddy Kenzo has laughed at the myriads of Ugandans who think that they know his story and love journey with fellow singer and baby mother Rema Namakula.

He also painfully scoffed at haters currently happy that his ex-lover is now sleeping with her new man, Hamza Sebunya.

According to the Sitya Loss singer, many people think that he just met Rema ‘yeterday’.

“I have known Rema for a very long time when she was just starting her music journey,” he told NTV Mwasuze Mutya show host Faridah Nakazibwe.

“I won some karaoke competition was taken to WBS TV for an interview. That’s where I met Namakula. She had also come to the station with her aunt Halima Namakula. She sang a song called Maama and because of my background, the message in the song resonated with me. I didn’t see her again until after a couple of months when  bumped into her and reminded her of the said song. That’s when we became friends,” he said.

Kenzo claimed that from that moment, their relationship grew stronger and when Namakula left Bebe Cool’s Gagamel crew, he (Kenzo) started to support her musically, helping her to release her breakthrough song Fire Tonight among others.

“I remember I took Namakula to a music tour upcountry and we spent over three weeks there. That’s where we had talks and the results were Aamal Musuuza. Before you knew it we were a family,” he said.

But just like any other relationship, Kenzo lamented that they started to have problems at home after sometime. These problems were compounded by social media gossips and media.

Kenzo stated that he chose to leave his house to sleep in hotels out of the respect he has for his family, and most especially when things seemed to not be working out with Rema.

And no, he could not kick her out of his house even when he knew her new lover Ssebunya would spend nights in his bed while he was away.

“We used to live with over 10 people in my house and eight of them were women. There is no way I could tell them to leave my house because of my issues with Rema. As a man, I had to move out of the house to hustle my way out,” he said.

Kenzo narrated that when he moved out, he left the house in Rema’s hands and she was allowed to live there for as long as she wanted.

“Namakula got her new lover when she was still living in my house, but I had given her freedom to do whatever she wanted and I was okay with it,” he said.

The singer further said that he chose to keep their breakup details a secret because he protects Namakula’s marriage for she’s a good woman who deserves to be happy.

Rema is set to introduce her new lover to her parents on November 14, in Nabbingo, Wakiso.
