Tamale Mirundi has applauded President Museveni for appointing singers Catherine Kusasira and Mark Bugembe aka Buchaman as his presidential advisors.
Buchaman, also a former right hand man of singer turned politician Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine and Kusasira attained these new role on Saturday, during a meeting of Ghetto Youth Groups under their umbrella organization known as NRM Youth Camp at their headquarters in Kibuye, Kampala.
Buchaman is the advisor on Ghetto Affairs while Kusasira will advise Museveni on matters Kampala.
Some social media gossips claimed that maybe Museveni appointed Buchaman because he has been at loggerheads with his former Firebase boss ever since he parted ways with them; or he did it disorganize Bobi Wine since he has a big fan base in ghetto.
However, Bobi Wine claimed that Museveni is just desperate these days and has limited choices that why he’s bringing people like Bryan White, Bebe Cool, Buchaman and the likes to be his advisers.
“He dismissed us, we persisted, his very scared and desperate, he now returns as ‘Man of Ghetto’. He will do it all and will soon adopt to the ghetto behavior and even smoke some,” Bobi said recently.
But according to Mirundi, a former presidential aide, Museveni made this move because of the election pressure, but it is a good move for the appointed people have the capacity to reach out to the target people in their areas.
“If Buchaman can talk to the ghetto people and they listen, he deserves the job. If Kusasira can talk to Kampala youth when Nakiwala (Kiyingi) failed to do so, then she deserves the job too,” he said during the ‘One on One with Tamale Mirundi’ show on nbs tv.
Mirundi claimed that some of the people who were elected to help Museveni with various responsibilities are doing nothing and that could be the reason why he appointed the singers to cover up that gap.
However he noted that there are so many forces in town and if Kusasira and Buchaman fail to deliver to Museveni’s expectation, he will replace them immediately.
