Tanzania’s bongo flavor artiste Nasibu Abdul Juma alias Diamond Platnumz has jetted into the country ahead of the highly anticipated Comedy Store show due Thursday, July 25.
The singer will be the headline performer at Comedy Store Uganda, a rib cracking comedy show that happens every Thursday at UMA grounds, Lugogo.
Before the comedy show on Thursday, Platnumz confirmed that he will first meet his Ugandan fans at an organised ‘Meet and Greet’ event at Normads Bar and Grill tonight.
“Kampala Uganda, Lemme invite you to the meet and greet on 24 July 2019 at Nomads Bar and Grill. Please make sure your phone have enough charge so that we can snap out till 6 in the morning,” he shared on social media.
Popularly known in Uganda as Zari’s ex-husband, and for songs like Nana, Marry You, Kidogo, Sikomi among others, this will be Platinumz third performance in the country after the Kampala City Carnival in 2017 and another one in 2015 featuring Nigerian star Patoranking.
According to Alex Muhangi, the CEO of Comedy Store Uganda, they are trying to give the best to their audience, and Platnumz and Eric Omondi from Kenya will try to outdo themselves.
“We believe our audience deserves more than just entertainment. It’s got to be premium next week, TZ’s @DiamondPlatnumz will be headlining @ComedyStoreUG, Kenya’s @ericomondi too. Tell a friend,” he shared recently.
