The Beat: Lynda replaces Tracy on dull NTV entertainment show

Ever since Douglas Lwanga left NTV for nbs TV, it seems the Serena based television has had a rough time in recruiting sustainable replacements for their ‘The Beat’ show team.

It’s evident that this music show which airs during weekdays from 5:00pm to 7:00pm has failed to retain a stable working team given how their presenters come and go.

In a period of just one year after Lwanga’s departure, The Beat has seen several presenters like Sheilah Gashumba, Tracy Kababiito, Daggy Nyce, Sammie, Jay among others,

Kababiito and Dagy Nyce joined The Beat team in 2018 after winning in a contest that was put up by NTV to recruit new faces for the show, Sammy joined recently after Gashumba throwing in a towel.

But by the looks of it, Kababiito has also quit, and on Monday, NTV through their social media platforms shared that ‘The Beat’ will see a new face again.

“Guess what… We have a new co-host, Meet Lynda Ddane! She will be sitting in for Tracy. Welcome Lynda to the team, tell us what you think of the choice to bring her on the show” NTV posted.

Lynda is a former presenter of UBC TV, and she co-hosted Jam 101 show with Calvin.

She couldn’t keep the excitement by herself, as she also shared the news through her social media.

“Come a long way…I’m super glad to be part of the team @NTVTheBeat, @ntvuganda, Cheers to brighter days yours truly, #theTeamPenguin” she posted.

Now The Beat will hosted by Dagy, Lynda and Sammy.
