A 32 year old man has committed suicide by hanging. This follows news that he had tested HIV positive.
Alex Kavuma, a resident of Kibibi Garage A in Busimbi division Mityana district hanged himself using nylon rope on Monday on the roof of his late father’s house and died instantly.
This happened after he was discharged from Hosifa hospital where he had been admitted. While at the hospital, it was detected among others that the deceased was also HIV positive.
It’s alleged that this revelation caused him a lot of depression which led to his death.
Nobert Ochom Wamala, the region police spokesperson confirmed the incident saying the body has been handed over to family members for a descent burial.
