The Inspector General of Police Martins Okoth-Ochola has appointed Senior Superintendent of Police Peter Kakonge as the new Flying Squad Unit commandant after major reshuffles in the unit.
SSP Kakonge who has been working at CID headquarters in Kampala replaces Assistant Commissioner of Police, Herbert Muhangi who was last month appointed to Human Resource Management.
In a yesterday evening message to all police directors, IGP Ochola also transferred Deputy ACP Isaac Oketcho from CID headquarters in Kibuli to SID in Kireka as Ag. CP commercial/transnational crimes SID.
D/SSP Peter Muwonge of CId headquarters has been appointed as Ag ACP CID training officer.
D/SSP Hosea Manyindo has been moved from CID headquarters and appointed as the Ag. CP media crimes.
D/SSP Okello Obura has also been moved from CID headquarters to Kiira as regional CID officer.
