Crested Cranes picked up yet another win by defeating UCU Lady Cardinals 2-0 in a build-up match played at the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) Campus in Kabojja on Good Friday.

Hasifah Nassuuna opened the scoring on six minutes before substitute Spencer Nakachwa doubled her team’s lead in the 75th minute.

‘We are getting stronger each passing day. The fitness levels of the team are not top notch. The spirits are high and all players are learning a lot of new things during this camp. We shall give our best. I am happy the balls are crossing the goal line’ said Head coach Faridah Bulega.

Crested Cranes who edged Kampala Select 2-1 on Wednesday are using these practice games to fine tune the players ahead of the Total AFCON Women 2018 Qualifiers.

The build-up match was handled by Elizabeth Nasolo (Centre Referee), Kayinza Aminah 1st Assistant Referee and Mariam Kebba 2nd Assistant Referees.
