So which company or corporate organization knows Uganda best? The question will be aptly answered on December 19th, Tuesday evening at the corporate Christmas quiz night.

On top of having the bragging rights for being the organization or company that knows Uganda more, winners will share sh1 million in cash. There will be prizes for runner-up teams from partners like Vivo Energy, Rwanda Air, Uganda Wildlife Authority and Britania.

The first of its kind in Uganda’s tourism sector, the Uganda Tourism Board has organized this tourism night to bring corporate Kampala together to learn more about Uganda’s tourism attractions through a competitive quiz session. This is also the last gathering of the year before companies break off for Christmas.

Here, corporate employees will meet and greet while stimulating their brains. Over 40 corporate companies and organizations have already registered to compete for the top prize.

Among them are Vision Group, Vivo Energy, Britannia, Uganda Olympic Committee, NIRA, Vodafone, South African Airways, Monitor Publications, Rwanda Air, COWI and Sajeki Agency among others. The quiz will take place at Aangan Restaurant, Lugogo House, along Lugogo bypass from 6-9pm.

The organiser of the night, John Ssempebwa, UTB’s deputy CEO says the purpose of the night is “to inform corporate people where to enjoy this Christmas. UTB continues its drive, in partnership with Tulambule drive led by Hon. Kiwanda Suubi, to sensitize Ugandans about their country, the Pearl of Africa, which is one of the most beautiful places on the planet.

UTB envisions Ugandans starting to enjoy their country like foreigners do by consuming Ugandan tourism products and spend less on traveling abroad on same treats. The quiz night is one of those initiatives to ignite the curiosity of groups and individuals in the corporate money bracket to go out more often to taste what Uganda has to offer.

The evening will be kicked off in a special way with a talk from one of the most passionate and motivational tourism promoters and entrepreneurs in Uganda, Amos Wekesa of Great Lakes Safaris.

The evening’s quiz master is Eric Bamuwangulidde. The next round of this corporate tourism quiz is to be held before Easter 2018.
