The Kobs will today, Tuesday November 20 play the South Sudan U-23 side in the return leg of their U-23 African Cup of Nations qualifier in Juba.
The Uganda U23 side defeated their opponents in the first leg 1-0 thanks to a Mustafa Kizza late penalty.
They will however, have to put on a better performance than they did at the StarTimes Stadium in Lugogo last week if they are to come away from Juba unscathed by their hosts who looked impressive on the day.
Head coach Wasswa Bbosa who seemed to prefer style over result, saw his team struggle against what many perceived as a weak S. Sudan side and expected the Kobs to have a stroll in the park.
But Bbosa now knows what he will be up against and he is expected to ask more from his players.
The team that travelled to South Sudan has two new players from those that played the first leg in Kampala with Police’s industrious midfielder Ashiraf ‘Fadiga’ Mugume and Nyamityobora’s left back Alex Komaketch coming into the squad for this return leg.
The delegation departed for Juba from Entebbe Airport on Monday.
The winner on aggregate will face Tunisia U-23 side in the next stage of the qualifiers.
