Museveni Commissions Multi Million “Kaguta Block” at Excel Vocational Training Centre Luwero

HE Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has today launched the NRA album and commissioned a swanky building block dubbed ‘Kaguta Block’, at Excel Vocational Training Centre-Bombo Kalule.

Shortly after commissioning the building, the president had a brief chat with the proprietor of this institute, Hajji Shafic Mwanje who informed him about last year’s fire that gutted the institute’s buildings. During this chat, the president pledged to re-build them.

Later, Mwanje and Museveni switched to Kalule playground where thousands of bazzukulu had gathered to listen to Museveni’s wealth creation message.

In his remarks at Kalule playground, Mwanje emphasized that everyone can now be rich in Uganda as a result of the fertile ground of peace created by the mighty government of the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM).

He condemned those undermining persons with disabilities saying they are very capable and can cause a positive impact to the country’s growth if prioritized.

“We at Excel Vocational Training Centre we decided to empower your bazzukulu with skills, if a person with disability like me can work and development the society like I have done, how can a person with eyes, arms fail to tap into wealth. It’s through these skills that our children can achieve their future prospects,” Mwanje said.

In his address to the mammoth of bazzukulu, Museveni commended Hajji Mwanje for the mega establishments in Luwero and Bukomansimbi districts.

“I was with Mwanje at the institute and I saw how he is empowering our people there with skills, this is a challenge to all Ugandan who like ‘kulambara’, you can imagine Shafic who is doing all this is blind. I visited him in Bukomansimbi and I saw great things he is doing there,” Museveni noted.

He said Mwanje gave him a report about the institute and realized that there is a need to give him more support.

Meanwhile, on wealth creation, Museveni emphasized the 4acre model, saying this is the only way Ugandans can get out of poverty.

On wetlands, Museveni says instead of carrying farming in wetlands, Ugandans can instead start fish farming by putting ponds on the sides of the wetlands.

“Currently I am happy with how Ugandans in some parts of the country are embracing my message of wealth creation. For example, the Masaka people are serious with coffee, cattle farmers are minting heavily from milk and it’s products where as Kalangala people are also not resting with the growing of palm oil,” noted Museveni.

At the same event, head of the Office of the National Chairman (ONC)-Kyambogo, Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo asked Museveni to address the issue of land woes that have left a lot of his bazzukulu homeless and others dead. In response to this, Museveni said this is a serious issue and the Gov’t is aware about it vowing that not so long, this challenge will be history.

“Some of these problems were created by the British who overthrew former kings of Uganda and divided land among their favorite servants and said the resettlers were to pay busulu,” that’s the secret behind this madness you see today.
