Here is tomorrow’s burial program for the late Tamale Mirundi

The late Joseph Tamale Mirundi will be laid to rest tomorrow Sunday 18th August, 2024 in Kalisizo,Kyotera district.

Mr. Mirundi, the former Senior Press Secretary to H.E the President, breathed his last on 13th August,2024 from Kisubi Hospital where he had been hospitalised for over a month.

According to Haji Faruk Kirunda, the Deputy Press Secretary to H.E the President and who spoke on behalf of the organising committee, Today, Saturday, August 17, 2024 the body of Mr. Mirundi will arrive at his ancestral home in Kalisizo,Kyotera district and here, a vigil will be conducted.

On Sunday, August 18, 2024 ,starting at 9am,there will be eulogies from various personalities on the life of the deceased.

“At 11am, the chief mourner, the Vice President, H.E Maj. Jessica Alupo Epel, representing His Excellency the President will arrive and starting 11:10am to 1:30pm, there will be speeches,” Haji Kirunda said in a statement released today.

“Then at 1:30pm, the burial proceedings will begin and at 2pm, burial will be conducted and departure after.”

Haji Kirunda further clarified that on Thursday, August 15, 2024, a requiem mass was held for the deceased at St. Gyaviira Church, Bunamwaya.
