Veteran journalist Odongotho of the NBS Television is yet to see the worst at the station where he has been hosting the popular NBS Frontline programme after the leadership rejected his resignation.
Odongotho was reported on Monday 9 to have asked the top management to let him end his marriage with the NBS family on grounds that he no longer felt comfortable and happy working with the Kamwokya-based broadcasters. That even when he spoke to the big man Kin Kalisa himself, proposing some changes, nothing came out of it. He also accused some lady at the institution that speaks directly to Kalisa for making his life difficult at the station. As such, Odongotho, who only married late last year chose to quit.
Our reporters have however since learnt that NBS wouldn’t allow his resignation just yet as they aim to dismiss their once praised asset dishonourably by subjecting him to disciplinary action. NBS accuse Odongotho of breaching the rules and disobeying the production department. An official at NBS , who spoke to us intimated that Odongotho had been summoned to attend the institution’s disciplinary committee which was to be convened today Tuesday 10 before he would be let go.
Odongotho joins many other popular presenters of the NBS in an influx that has seen Klin’s NBS lose many of his praised assets in the recent past.
