Tamale Mirundi, the former senior presidential advisor on media is over the moon after receiving a brand new Mitsubishi Pajero from his ‘personal friend’ President Museveni.

The SUV, complete with State House plates UG 4008C and zero mileage was unveiled on Tuesday morning when Mirundi drove it to Next Media offices in Kamwokya.

He then told Bashir Kazibwe, during the ‘One on One with Tamale Mirundi’ talk show that the new ride, estimated to cost in the region of Shs400million is a replacement for an older car.

“Listen, I have about 20 cars to my name. Having this one is nothing new. It is just taking the place of the older ones,” he said as footage of the black SUV, polythene chair covers still in place, was played on the screen.

He added: “There is no need to hide the truth from the public. I am a friend of Museveni.”

An enthusiastic supporter and defender of President Museveni, Mirundi said there was a difference between him and the likes of Catherine Kusasira who were recently appointed Presidential Advisors.

“Do they have the paper work for the cars that they were gifted? Ofcourse not. Those cars are not theirs. This, however is mine,” the man who recently survived a poison attack by people he termed mafias boasted.
