Pastor Bugingo’s Salt TV is propagating fake news, says Kiiza Besigye

Former Forum for Democratic Change president Kizza Besigye has rubbished Salt TV for allegedly misquoting him.

Besigye, who used to be President Yoweri Museveni’s personal doctor is also a four-time presidential candidate.

On Monday, while celebrating 15 years of FDC, Besigye is quoted to have said ‘he will not leave politics until he dies.’

But Salt TV claimed no one brought him (on the political scene) so he will not leave.

“Besigye breaks People Power hearts, to return in 2021. Former FDC president Rtd. Col. Kiiza Besigye has scoffed at those who tell him to quit politics, saying he is not going anywhere because no one brought him,” Salt TV, owned by pastor Aloysius Bugingo tweeted.

INDEED: “If the SALT loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again?….”

The tweet seemed to have rubbed Besigye the wrong way, he too tweeting that Salt TV seem to be turning into fake news TV.

“Indeed if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again,” he tweeted in reference to Mathew 5:13-20.

“Salt TV seem to be turning into fake news TV. Please read the scriptures again.

The said verse reads in part:  “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltines, how can it be made salty again? It is no no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.”
