Musician turned politician Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu alias Bobi Wine on Saturday visited sick Senior Presidential Advisor Joseph Tamale Mirundi who was early this week admitted at Kisubi Hospital, along Entebbe Road.
Mirundi who has spent over two weeks bedridden had refused to be admitted to any Ugandan hospital allegedly in fear for his life that ‘mafia’ could use that chance to finish him off. He was later convinced to seek medical attention at the Catholic founded hospital.
“This afternoon, I paid a visit to a distinguished citizen of Uganda, former Presidential Press Secretary Joseph Tamale Mirundi. He is admitted at Kisubi Hospital, in a very serious but stable state of health. Thankfully, his caretakers indicated that he has made some improvement,” Bobi Wine said in a Facebook Post yesterday.
Adding, “It is definitely very painful seeing a man who has given so much service to this government and President Museveni in such a state, and yet he has to meet very expensive bills in a private health facility! The government he worked so hard for, having failed to set up proper public health facilities is not even keen on sending him for specialised treatment at such a critical time. Perhaps this is because he now disagrees with them every so often! We have seen how they treat those who are in favour with them; – a simple ailment and they are on the next plane for treatment in countries which have their act together. Please disregard the rumour that circulated earlier that he was airlifted to Kenya.”
