Presidential aspirant Bobi Wine to start nationwide consultations ahead of general elections

People Power political pressure group have announced that their presidential aspirant Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine will start consultations before he officially declares intentions to stand for President of Uganda.

At a press conference, Bobi Wine cited electoral laws that allow those intending to stand for president to consult with the public at least 12 months before nominations.

“We are ready to work with police and Electoral Commission to fulfill requirements for this exercise,” Bobi Wine said.

People Power spokesman Mr Joel Ssenyonyi said supporters of their movement were participating in the ongoing voter verification exercise by Electoral Commission however he said the exercise should not lock out youth who are presently 17 years old but would be 18 years by the time Ugandans go to the polls.
